Here are some pictures of wonderful WWOOFers:

Etienne and Cyril working on the new entrance to our underground root cellar where we store  food for the winter-note house garden is above:

Boys just seem to want to play.  Cyril shows off his strength (of course the tractor bucket is holding the 500 pound rock up by the chain):

Etienne getting a free ride up the hill by holding onto the end of the wood splitter:

Son  John Weller helping with the really big rocks -some needed the bulldozer as well as the tractor bucket:

Vanessa placing a rock on the rock wall forming top edge of the newly expanded house garden which is above the underground root cellar:

After all this work, the finished house garden looks like this:

Here we have the start of planting season with planting of the edible pod peas, just about everyone's favorite.

Maintaining a garden by removing weeds is almost a never ending job:

But the results are worth the work!  A little hand weeding on the rows and some roto-tiling between the rows makes all the difference:

Asako blending our organic garden carrots to make carrot soup Japanese style:

John and Eve picking rocks and putting them in the tractor bucket to form a new section of field.  This  will be followed by smoothing and planting grass seed for hay field.  Hay will feed our Beefalo cows during the winter who are fed in our garden and fertilize the garden for the next growing season.
