Derby Line's First Universalist Parish - The Unitarian Universalist Church - is a small, very friendly open church. Members do community service, have book discussion groups and in general try to live by the Seven Principles along with attending services at times. Some members claim to be "good for nothing" because not believing in "hell" lets them be "good" just for the sake that it in helpful to society.
At First Universalist Parish we have a great coffee hour after church. It is usually a meal that we take turns providing interspersed with potlucks.
Western Square Dancing - DOSADO.COM
I like square dancing because it:
-teaches you to listen,
-be cooperative and helpful immediately, otherwise the 7 of you will be standing around waiting to get the 8 of you back in to dancing,
-keeps your brain functioning quickly trying to get your body to perform one of the 6,000 or so calls that the caller just randomly called in the microsecond interval allowed before the next call,
-is easy exercise. Dancing at three miles an hour times three hours equals nine miles of fun,
-is a fun, forgiving environment, and there is usually free food after dances.
