We have a beautiful farm with beautiful views from our ridge top fields, gardens and workshop building. There are numerous trails though out our 350 acre farm. Come and enjoy the serenity of the ponds, fields and woods. Enjoy taking a walk with our dogs or by yourselves. Experience a creative, different life style, relaxed or active, as you wish. Experience life on our farm! Join us for as many, or as few of our daily chores as you want to experience. Breakfast included with room. Lunch and dinner extra, or on your own. Our drinking water is superb with just the right amount of hardness. In fact more than one water bottling plant wanted to establish operations here until the local government said no. This is also a very historical and interesting international area. Do you know that Canada's first motorized vehicle was invented here? It is Henry Seth Taylor's steam powered carriage that he drove to the Stanstead fair grounds in 1867. Although you will experience that we are private and secluded, we are only four miles from interstate I-91/autoroute 55.
This is the front of our historic house. It was originally built in the early 1800's. A lithograph of it can be seen in the 1870 Belden's Illustrated Atlas of Canada.
Its a short walk up to the middle pond, where there are trout jumping and the peaceful sounds of spring fed water running in and out of the pond.
If you like dogs, our Golden Retrievers love taking walks and make friends with all wiling guests.
